Mold Damage – Azusa Laundry Room
Mold damage at this Azusa house’s laundry room started as a small leak in one of the water hoses behind the washer. The leak went unnoticed as the drywall wicked up the slow leak. Eventually, the drywall became saturated, and water showed up on the floor. On further inspection, the owner discovered a mold infestation and called SERVPRO of Azusa / Covina to clean up the mold. When our technicians arrive at a project the first thing they do is assess the damage. It was determined that the mold had spread behind the walls and they would need to be removed and disposed of. A containment area would be set up to prevent mold spores from traveling throughout the house while we performed our work. The walls would be removed, and the studs would be wiped down with specialized substances to remove the mold. An antifungal substance would be applied to the affected areas to inhibit future mold growth and then the walls would be replaced.
