Storm Damage – Covina Home

Storm damage occurred at this Covina home when flying debris from a severe thunderstorm broke a sliding glass door and allowed wind-blown rainwater to soak the carpeting in this room. The insurance adjuster and the homeowner specifically requested that we attempt to save the carpeting as it was brand new. SERVPRO of Azusa / Covina prides itself on restoring rather than replacing whenever possible, so we were up for the task. Our trained technicians would use wet-vacs with mat attachments to help draw the moisture from the carpet fibers rapidly. They would then set up multiple air movers and dehumidifiers to speed the drying phase of the cleanup.
